“ I really appreciate how they’ve kept this location a classic. In the days of overexpansion, Rubio’s keeps it simple and classy. This is a great place to stop for a chopped chicken salad and there’s ample seating considering the size of the restaurant. ”

I ordered a California bowl with the Wild Alaskan Salmon, and sauces and salsa on the side. It tasted fresh and was cooked well! Very satisfying, the sauces tasted fresh as well. The portions were generous compared to other Rubios in North-County. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone, especially those visiting Southern California. ”

The staff is what you would expect from a fast food joint, but they seem dedicated and do what is expected in a friendly manner. I think the price has crept up like most things in 2022, and portion sizes are good but not great. However, I will say my original fish taco was good size and didn’t lack. You will find more artisanal fish tacos all around San Diego these days, but Rubio’s still serves one of the best fish tacos all these years later. ”
